Biography

A few years ago, I became the first Scottish female to run a marathon on every continent and the North Pole and join the Grand Slam Marathon Club. Since then, many doors have opened and I've been lucky to complete numerous other challenges including the inaugural Genghis Khan Ice Marathon in Outer Mongolia and several of the world major marathons.

I juggle my time between running and a City career. Running and adventure have really changed my perspective and I recently took some time out to focus on inspiring and motivating others to get active, no matter what their goal. I still enjoy sharing my story in schools and at events to encourage others to achieve their goals, sporting or otherwise.

I have featured a bit in the national press, as well as magazines such as Health & Fitness, Running Fitness, Outdoor Fitness, Scotland Outdoors,, Woman's Fitness, Women’s Running and Runners World, and I also regularly write for the RunABC, (formerly the National Running Guide).

I am passionate about getting people more active and am involved in a number of such initiatives, as well as supporting organisations to get employees active. I am an avid supporter of the 5x50 challenge, alongside several internationally renowned Scottish athletes.

I’ve been honoured to have been shortlisted several times in the National Adventure Awards, as well as sitting on the judging panel.
